Giving Christmas Back to Jesus

"I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." - Matthew 25:40

This year we were challenged by our minister to 'Give Christmas Back to Jesus' by our service, our giving and our forgiving. Our family and close family friends decided to give our service on Christmas morning.

We met two days before Christmas and m
ade homemade Christmas cards to pass out at the Worthington Christian Village on Christmas morning. The kids did an AWESOME job on the cards!

We met at the Village at 9:30 am on Christmas morning. What a great morning! The residents LOVED seeing the kids and the kids LOVED giving them all of the cards.

We were truly blessed by giving Him a gift for His birthday - our love and service to the great residents of Worthington Christian Village.

What a great evening! The middle school choir & band did an awesome job! Thanks to Mr. Murray (who, by the way, was my choir director when I went to Tree!!!) for a great job in getting the kids ready for the concert!

Our Christmas Family Tradition

Each year we go with my parents and find the perfect Christmas tree! We have gone every year since Andy was a baby! We actually started this tradition back when I was in junior high school and have kept it up for all these years!

We have always gone to a place in Granville, Ohio but this year they have closed. We went to a place in Baltimore, Ohio. We always seem to have the best weather (not last year...it poured rain the whole time) - but yesterday's temp was great - 46 degrees!

Part of our tradition is after the cutting of the tree, we stop at Tim Horton's for doughnuts and hot chocolate! It was great to have the afternoon with the kids...we told them that what would be great is if the tradition is kept up when they have kids! Whew...that is too far for me to even think of!!!!

Dickens of a Christmas

On Saturday we went to the Ohio Village's Dickens of a Christmas. The kids had a blast! They were able to do crafts, play games and also get to see St. Nick! Although - the ghost of Jacob Marley was quit scary for some in our group!!

Here is the information if you would like to go to the Ohio Village Christmas event:

My First Blog!

This is my first time attempting to use a blog. I have many friends who use this as a form of "catching up" with others. I thought it might be time for me to jump on board!
